Take-Up Roller Bearing Units

Take-up roller bearing units are mounted bearing assemblies designed to provide adjustable shaft positioning for proper belt or chain tensioning. Unlike fixed mounted units, these bearings are engineered to slide within a frame or take-up housing, allowing for controlled linear movement. This design makes them ideal for applications where tension must be maintained over time, such as conveying, material handling, and power transmission systems subject to wear, stretch, or thermal expansion.

Options: Available in adjustable housing configurations to support a range of tensioning applications, with solutions offered under our TRITAN and PTI brands. These units feature a bearing housed within a sliding frame that can move along guides or tracks, enabling precise forward and backward adjustment of shaft position.

Housing designs include take-up frames and brackets compatible with screw-adjusted or manual positioning systems, allowing for easy installation and ongoing tension control. Adjustment mechanisms typically incorporate threaded rods, screws, or bolts to ensure accurate positioning and secure locking during operation.

Bearing types within these units are designed to handle radial loads while maintaining smooth rotation under varying tension conditions. Sealing options are available to protect against contaminants in demanding environments, including dust, debris, and moisture.

Additional configurations include a range of bore sizes, shaft compatibility options, and lubrication solutions to support extended service life. With their adjustable design and durable construction, take-up roller bearing units provide reliable, low-maintenance performance for applications requiring consistent tension and alignment.
