The History of Solve Industrial Motion Group
Solve Industrial Motion Group was built with a clear purpose: make it easier—and better—for customers to source, design, and maintain complete industrial motion systems.
What started as a collection of trusted power transmission and bearing brands has evolved into a unified platform delivering full drive train solutions across North America.

Solve’s story begins with deep industry roots
In 1992, PT International (PTI) was founded with a vision to become the most trusted resource for power transmission products. From the start, PTI focused on delivering dependable components backed by engineering expertise and customer-first service.
That commitment to quality and capability expanded in 2018, when PTI extended its portfolio through the acquisition of IPTCI Bearings and LMS Bearings. This move strengthened engineering capabilities and introduced custom manufacturing solutions—laying the groundwork for a broader, more integrated offering.
In 2020, Solve Industrial Motion Group was formed to bring together multiple proven brands under one unified platform.
This wasn’t just a merger—it was a strategic shift. By aligning independent brands with deep expertise in bearings, power transmission, and conveyor components, Solve created a more powerful, connected solution for distributors, OEMs, and MRO teams.
The Goal: Eliminate sourcing complexity and deliver a true end-to-end drive train solution.
Solve continued to strengthen its portfolio with key additions that expanded both product breadth and application expertise.
In 2021, the addition of Tritan (formerly Bearings Limited) enhanced Solve’s ability to deliver a comprehensive range of bearing solutions across industries.
In 2022, Solve expanded further by adding:
These additions deepened Solve’s capabilities in power transmission components and conveyor solutions—bringing customers closer to a single-source supplier for complete system performance.
In 2023, Solve acquired SPB-USA, the leading distributor of EZO miniature bearings in the United States.
This move strengthened Solve’s position in precision and small-scale applications, enabling support for industries requiring tight tolerances, compact designs, and high-performance miniature components.
Solve’s growth continued in 2025 with the addition of several key brands:
– Miller Bearing Company
– B&B Manufacturing
– Power Rite Products (PRP)
– D&D Global
These additions significantly expanded Solve’s capabilities across conveyor bearings, pulleys, chain products, and power transmission belts—further reinforcing its position as a complete drive train solutions provider.
Today, Solve Industrial Motion Group stands apart by offering something different – a full solutio from bearings to belts, chains, pulleys, and conveyor components
Our platform of best-in-class brands combines deep industry expertise with a commitment to being easier to do business with than traditional suppliers.
Solve isn’t just a collection of parts—it’s a smarter way to keep operations moving.
As the company continues to grow, the mission remains the same: Simplify sourcing, improve performance, and deliver solutions that keep industry running.
