For permanent protection against frequent overload, KBK’s magnetic couplings are the right choice. They work absolutely wear-free and are therefore of fatigue strength and maintenance-free. Simple connection via clamping hubs, together with quick adjustment of the overload torque through the insertion depth of the inner into the outer rotor, allows fast and uncomplicated use. Two operating principles are available: the permanent magnetic coupling, which “bucks” in case of overload, and the hysteresis coupling, which slides similarly to a sliding coupling.
Options: Available in a wide range of hub configurations to meet diverse assembly requirements, with shaft diameters from 3 mm to 44 mm and torque ranges from 0.1 Nm to 60 Nm depending on execution. A stainless-steel version is also available, providing hygienic and corrosion-resistant performance for bottling, packing, and food industry environments.
Hub styles include collet clamp, internal/external thread, screw-in thread, and Oldham-style designs, allowing flexible mounting options and adaptability across various shaft and installation configurations.
The magnetic operating principle enables contact-free, wear-free torque transmission and compensation of radial shaft misalignment at low restoring forces, without sacrificing reliable overload protection.
